olde thyme tire iron
Made by the Xtremely talented historical home & technique aficionado, Lee McColgan. I met Lee at last year's Nor'Easter, and we quickly realized that we shared the rare and infectious love for historical New England homes. He sent me one of these as a gift a few months back, and i thought they were perfect for our product style -- so he carved up a few more!
he also black smithed (smythed?) the iron in tire IRON. they don't work as well as a Pedro's lever (nothing will) for de-beading, but work fantastic for prying a stubborn bead to get the weaker plastic Pedro's into place.
they are so cool to hold hands with and fist bump. if anything, a cool thing to have on display in your shop. there is a lot of work that goes into these, and Lee just does it as a hobby --- but they have to cost $65 --- think of it more as a workshop jewelry purchase.
