the AluMax II is my built for speed modern grav racing bike interpretation designed to hold its own with anything your dental care provider would afford. New England made from 100% metal Italian materials.

The Alumax II has exceeded all my expectations, simply superb. I built the frame up as a go anywhere road bike using a mix of new and old parts, final weight about 25lb. Parts selected for strength and reliability, a mixture of Hope Tech, Dura Ace, XT and Diacompe. Ride quality is excellent, it rewards out of saddle efforts with rapid acceleration, stable and predictable on descents, and yet rivals my Rivendell Sam Hilbourne for comfort. A truly wonderful creation from Ron and Frank. The service from Ron’s Bikes is first class, rapid reply to email, frame shipped to the UK in less than a week and surprise cap and bandana included in the box, along with a hand written thank you for purchasing card. Just a great experience.
