the original hard bodied Fabio's line began with the "wizard sleeve" in the summer of 2016.  At this time I'd been living off my bike(s) for 5 years and was looking to shed the racks of my more traditional touring set up as the routes got rougher and the term "bike packing" became what you call that sort of thing. the profile of the (now trad) bike packing set up was never my cup of coffee.  The wizard sleeve (later the Fabio's Chest) was my answer to a reckless Carradice style bag system that would work front and rear, and be easily removable and hold its shape when not stuffed.
